| Zwanich Park Originally uploaded by Thórr God of Thunder. Me and
Tiffany went down to zwanich the other night to take pictures, some of
them came out pretty nice - the wind was blowing really strong so I had
to take the strap off my camera and use the gorilla pod to get the
camera to stop shaking. Then I started shaking, then Tiffany turned
into an ice cube. So we only got a couple shots off, but some of them
were pretty fun.

| P1040578.JPG Originally uploaded by Thórr God of Thunder. Ok, so this
is really more of a test than a real post. Granted, it has the added
benefit of showing off the gorgeous surroundings of my apartment down
at Firwood, but really the purpose here is to see if I can get flickr
to post to my Blogger, Xanga, and Facebook accounts all at the same
time without me having to copy and past into each. The reason being
that if it works then all you people who are subscribed to my blog in
only one of the three places I post will be able to read everything I
post now. That way I can be lazy and everyone will still be able to see
my photos and/or evil schemes. Anyways, here goes nothing...

Update: looks like xanga is the only one that didn't work - evidently you can't post html via email. From here on out the actual posts can be seen at my blogger.

| So I like the Pope (and/or the author of these meditations, Angelo Comastri) - the 'Way of the Cross' meditations are a pretty telling account of what he stands for - here's a few highlights from his meditations:
“Lord, we have lost our sense of sin. Today a slick campaign of
propaganda is spreading an inane apologia of evil, a senseless cult of
Satan, a mindless desire for transgression, a dishonest and frivolous
freedom, exalting impulsiveness, immorality and selfishness as if they
were new heights of sophistication.”
“Lord Jesus, our affluence is making us less human, our entertainment
has become a drug, a source of alienation, and our society’s incessant,
tedious message is an invitation to die of selfishness.”
“Today we seem to be witnessing a kind of anti-Genesis, a counter-plan, a diabolical pride aimed at eliminating the family.”
“Where is Jesus in the agony of our own time, in the division of our
world into belts of prosperity and belts of poverty . . . in one room
they are concerned about obesity, in the other, they are begging for
charity?”
So ya - he seems to have taken just the stance I hoped he would. Now if only evangelicals would convert to the cause... (not Rome by the way, just this message...)

| How nice to see TWU so negatively misrepresented on the Answers in Genesis site. Dirk (aka "the theologian" in this article) evidently got him a bit riled up by choosing not to mudsling with him, enough so for him to slander the whole school. fun fun...
